“ I am in contact with many HR managers, and when you talk about culture, you understand that there isn't always a real corporate culture, and then you realise that we are quite unique with what we have. ”
After vocational studies in sales and marketing, Andreas started to look for jobs in sales. By chance, he found an ad that Clevry was looking for new Account Managers and decided to apply for the role.
“I had a minimal understanding of the industry. I had a few shorter consultant jobs via staffing and recruiting companies, but I never thought about how the industry worked. When I was at the interview, and they described the role to me, it sounded very fun”, says Andreas.

Andreas got the role he applied for but only had time to work it for four and a half months before the Regional Sales Manager in Linköping resigned. Andreas was asked if he would consider taking on that responsibility. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all of the sales staff in both Linköping and Gothenburg, providing them with coaching and support. Recruiting new team members to the sales teams and doing client meetings are also a part of the role.
“I saw it as a fun challenge, but it has been a lot of “learning by doing”, and I have learned a lot over time. I had to take a lot of responsibility early on, with all that follows in a Regional Manager role. There are many administrative tasks that you wouldn't even believe exist. It's been a broad scope and not just sales related stuff. Everything from fixing the office Wi-fi and coordinating an office move to making sure all our agreements are up to date. I have learned a lot about a lot”, Andreas explains.
For Andreas, it was important to come to a flat organisation where you celebrate each other’s successes and work as a team. His previous experience within sales was that it often existed in a top-down hierarchy and that everyone just looked after their own, which did not apply to him.
“Even though numbers and sales-focused drive the industry, we help each other, and I have never felt a hierarchy since I started. A lot has changed since I started, but we have consistently praised each other. The company wants you to succeed and thrive and invests a lot in you from day one”, says Andreas.
When asked what the best thing about working at Clevry is, Andreas wants to make a punch for the organisational culture.
“The best thing about working at Clevry is the culture we have had for such a long time. “I am in contact with many HR managers, and when you talk about culture, you understand that there is not always a real corporate culture, and then you realise that we are quite unique with what we have”, Andreas concludes.
