“ Being able to help people find and obtain their dream job always gives me a kick, and I’ve had some truly eye-opening discussions with job seekers and career changers. ”
In 2019, Iina started her master's studies in social psychology and came in contact with representatives from Clevry at a job fair where they had a stall. Iina searched for an entry-level job in recruitment and instantly got a pleasant feeling from Clevry and was further recommended to Clevry’s in-house recruiter, who arranged an interview. And the rest, as they say, is history.
“I started working as a Recruitment Assistant in January 2020. My first days were pretty hectic, to say the least. I met tons of new people, and everyone seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and others who started working on the same day. I was positively surprised by how extensive and well-planned our onboarding programme was, and I felt like us newbies were very well looked after. This was also my first office job and getting used to working in an office environment was a bit of an adjustment. Even deciding what to wear to work was a whole new (and delightful) concept for someone who had been wearing company uniforms for years,” Iina explains.
Since then, Iina has worked in a few roles at Clevry. In spring 2021, she became a Recruitment Manager and started to work on her very own client cases. Later that fall, she took on a new role as Talent Acquisition Development Team Manager.
“In my current role, I’m responsible for managing our new talent sourcing team that focuses on direct search and the initial stages of the recruitment process. In addition to team management and development, my work involves planning, establishing, resourcing, and training the team, as well as setting the KPI's and assessing performance. I’m also the go-to person in IT and tech profiles,” Iina continues.
Iina says that there’s a plethora of things that make her work feel meaningful and enjoyable.
“Being able to help people find and attain their dream job always gives me a kick, and I’ve had some truly eye-opening discussions with job seekers and career changers. Learning about different industries and roles is also very interesting. Moreover, I love helping my colleagues and instructing others. My new role as a line manager allows me to support my colleagues’ professional development in a whole new way,” says Iina.
Iina explains that the support of her exceptional colleagues can’t be overemphasised. She continues, saying that she has gained a well-rounded understanding of the staffing industry, labour market, B2B, and different industries, and I’ve also developed deeper expertise in the IT field.
“What I really love about our daily life is the sense of community and having a tight-knit work family. My favourite memories of my time at Clevry involve everyday moments at the office: celebrating success, thanking others, sharing ideas, and having a laugh over a cup of coffee. But what I value the most are the opportunities I’ve got to grow professionally, and I feel like I've been given a chance to take responsibility and develop myself, my team, and our company”, Iina concludes.
