Elina Auvinen

Sales Development Team Leader, Finland

“ I cried happy tears when I got the call because I felt like the company culture was a perfect match with what I was looking for.”

Elina’s first contact with Clevry was in late 2019 when she found an ad for a consulting job that she applied for. Even though the interview went well, she didn’t go further in the process. 

“I remember that I was absolutely bummed. However, Tiia, the Consultant Manager for the role, saw my potential and asked if I would consider an open position at Clevry,” Elina explains.

Elina went through that recruitment process and, in the end, was offered the position of a Presales Coordinator. 

“I cried happy tears when I got the call because I felt like the organisational culture was a perfect match with what I was looking for. From the very first interview, the company, the culture and the people at Clevry felt like home,” Elina continues. 

Elina worked as a Presales Coordinator or Sales Development Representative for ten months and was offered a promotion to a Senior Sales Development Representative. 

“I felt that my skills quickly developed thanks to our excellent onboarding and outstanding management skills from my supervisor. Our team succeeded so well that we were rewarded with a value award for our results In August 2020. I had been taking part in the onboarding of new hires and was able to continue developing the process in my new role. Onboarding new SDRs and seeing them succeed has been one of my most rewarding experiences at Clevry, “Elina says proudly.  

During the summer of 2021, Elina graduated from her BBA studies and started to reflect on her career and what she wanted to do when she grew up. She listed a few things: 

  • Developing things and making them better 
  • Helping others grow in their Clevry Journey in combination with her passion for onboarding 
  • Her love for working with other people

“I discussed these with my supervisor in probably the most dramatic and movie-esque discussion ever; there was a thunderstorm outside during our meeting, and once I had told him about my career dreams, lightning struck the neighbouring building. I probably need to take it as a sign since I was offered a Sales Development Team Leader and Trainer role for the Sales Matrix less than two months later,” says Elina. 

Elina goes back to the onboarding process, which was a wow factor for her when she first joined Clevry. "Being able to develop that further, every day is a great honour."

“It is truly a privilege to be able to work in such a community that not only allows mistakes but also supports the growth of its members. The most meaningful thing has definitely been the Clevry family, and I am honoured to be a part of it,” Elina says.

She continues to explain that during her two years she never had a day when she didn’t feel like going to work.

“It feels like going home to see your big and crazy family!”

Elina ends the interview by sharing some of her greatest memories working at Clevry.  

“It probably goes without saying that my dearest memories at Clevry are the ones shared with my colleagues, like for example our Annual meeting trip to Barcelona in 2020 and our Presales Awards. But the best part of each day is the unconditional love and support we have for each other. If I am feeling down one day, there is always a colleague or two to cheer me up and listen to whatever I have in my mind, whether it is work-related or not. Life at Clevry is a party in itself,” Elina concludes.
