Ellie Roberts

Customer Sucess Specialist, UK

“If we're having fun at work, it means that we can help others find joy at work as well.”

When Ellie saw the ad for the role as a Business Psychologist at our former company, Criterion, she was super excited and applied right away.

“I had worked in a management consultancy, also within business psychology, but with more focus on leadership development and wellbeing. I wanted to move on and progress my career, and I got so excited when I saw the ad from Criterion, whom I’d known for ages since they’re quite big in the business psychology world. I already followed them on LinkedIn and everything, so I thought that this was the perfect opportunity for me!” says Ellie with a laugh.

During the recruitment process, Ellie got to try the Clevry assessments and got an excellent impression from both the tests and her interviewers. However, she ended up signing for another role within Clevry.

“The psychometrics were really good, and they had good interview questions! I remember that I got a great vibe from both Alan and Laura; they seemed really nice, motivated, and friendly, and it felt like a great team. What I thought was remarkable was that Alan picked up my strengths from my background in account management, that I like to grow accounts and work with clients, and he suggested that I’d go for the role within Customer Success instead, which I love today!”

Within her role, Ellie still gets to help out with business psychology but primarily works with customer success, ensuring that Clevry's assessment customers are happy and that they’ll have a smooth journey. Ellie describes that one of the funniest things about the role is also one of the most challenging.

“I have to work a lot in ambiguity, which can be challenging. But it's also quite fun because it means that any suggestions will be considered. You get to do a lot of big picture thinking, which can be daunting sometimes, but there's also a lot of support there.”

Ellie recently received our internal award Clever Rebel of the Month for her work with designing and launching a new client onboarding process.

“Since we have a whole new sales team, we didn’t have this in place before, and we needed to make sure that clients were being onboarded well and that the process from sales to us worked smoothly. It was nice that my colleagues recognised the achievement as well; it was a very proud moment for me”, Ellie says.

"... everyone is so energetic, motivated and positive! Like they genuinely want to help and to celebrate other people's success, and just have a laugh."

Ellie highlights that when working at Clevry, people genuinely care for each other and want to celebrate each other's successes.

“I feel that everyone is so energetic, motivated and positive! Like they genuinely want to help and to celebrate other people's success and just have a laugh. And I think that’s kind of it; if we're having fun at work, it means that we can help others find joy at work as well. Clevry is really accepting of anyone at any level with any experience. If you have a good idea, it will be heard out, and if it's a great idea, you will be celebrated for it”, Ellie concludes.
