Jesse Lindström

Senior Sales Development Representative, Finland

Before Jesse received an email from Clevry's internal recruiter on LinkedIn, he had never heard of Clevry. After he had read up a bit about the role and the company, he decided to go for an initial interview.

"From the beginning, the idea was that I would work towards the Swedish market, but as I had not spoken Swedish for a very long time, the process was changed towards the Finnish market instead. After working inconvenient hours and sometimes having to work on weekends for over three years, it felt very tempting to have a regular 9-5 job, so you have both weekends and evenings off!" Jesse explains. 

When asked what Jesse does on a typical day, he answers the following: 

"First, I check my email to see if there is anything to follow up on or if new customer information has been received. Then I start with my calling list and try to book as many meetings as possible. I always ask about the customer's current needs and how we can help them. What really gives me a kick is seeing how my work then produces results with the sellers and hearing how well both they and I are performing," says Jesse. 

Jesse says that since stepping into his role as Sales Development Representative, he has become more confident and grown on a personal level. 

"I have learned to be much more open to other people and have also become better at negotiating. Then I dare more, for example, take on more responsibility without feeling like I won't be able to handle it," Jesse continues. 

Since a few months ago, Jesse has alternated regular bookings with bookings solely focused on Accelerate, Clevry's IT training solution - in Swedish, something he was initially sceptical about. 

"Swedish was definitely a challenge initially because I didn't feel so comfortable as I hadn't spoken the language regularly. But as long as you do your best and dare, I have realized it will work out! Now I may have to speak three different languages during the day. It's important not to get confused", Jesse laughs. 

Jesse concludes by explaining why he believes Clevry is the best workplace to develop. 

"My team has changed a bit during the ten months I have been here. Many who started at the same time as me have been given new roles, such as Account Managers or Senior SDRs, including myself. I have noticed that everyone who starts is ambitious and wants to develop while being open and fun. We joke a lot on the team and like to stay on Friday AW to sing karaoke and toast the weekend! I started as one of the youngest in my team; you don't have to have the longest experience to get in, you can still grow within your role, and I think that's the most important thing," Jesse concludes.
