ABOUT NEOT
What we do
We are a significant independent fuel procurement company in the Baltic Sea region, and we also actively operate on the global trading market. We specialize in oil and renewable products wholesale in Finland, Sweden and Norway. NEOT is owned by SOK and St1 Nordic Oy and we work in close cooperation with our owners. Annually we supply roughly 7 billion liters of fuel products to our owners’ operations, including large service station chains St1, ABC and Shell. We employ around 50 people.
How we work
NEOT Spirit sets the foundation to everything we do. It crystallizes what kind of company we want to be and what we value. The four components of NEOT Spirit, agility, sustainability, competitive advantage and good vibes, are the fundamental on which our company is built upon.
We feel proud of the fact that we were recognized as one of Finland’s Most Inspiring Workplaces many years in a row and being the winner in 2018 and 2020.
(Corporate Spirit award, category of small organisations).
Our purpose
We enable our owners to prosper by providing them with competitive and sustainable fuel solutions. Our continuous solid performance enables them to invest in sustainable future solutions.
YOUR ROLE
NEOT is an active procurement and trading company that handles cargo trading and movements via ocean going vessels, river barges, tank transfers and inland transport methods. We handle shipments worldwide, but our main area of focus is the Baltic and North Sea. We transport various oil products like gasoline, diesel, biofuels and different oil components.
You will be part of Operations and Planning team that is responsible for logistical planning and operations of vessels and cargoes. You are in control of the entire operational chain which includes coordinating shipments with stakeholders, sending various orders, arranging for inspections, opening SBLC's, handling documents, arranging payments and issuing invoices. You will be an important link internally and externally in all operations. You will grow to be a specialist with wide range of commercial responsibilities.
The job requires numerical accuracy and agility with different systems. You will be surrounded by a team, but you will be in control of the operations of your own area of responsibility. The ability to perceive the big picture is essential, but we also appreciate enthusiasm and motivation to handle routine tasks with care. We also value the ability to work under pressure: constant change and a degree of uncertainty are part of the job description. We look for team players who are hungry, humble and human. In other words, our perfect match is a person who sees success as a team effort, continuously looks for more things to learn and has good common sense about people.
Our expectations
- Relevant educational background – university degree is a plus
- Work experience within logistics is seen as an advantage but not a must
- Be a true team player and continuously look for ways to do things better and learn more
- Precision and an eye for the details
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English – Finnish and Swedish are seen as an advantage
- A place within one of Finland’s Most Inspiring Workplaces
- Great employee benefits (e.g. SOK personnel benefits, ePassi and an extensive free time accident insurance)
- Personal and professional career development in a responsible and varied role within a remarkable international business
- A low-bureaucracy organization where good ideas tend to be utilized in an agile way.
- NEOT does have a flexible working policy, and this position can be done within a hybrid (remote/office) working environment
