We at Clevry are looking for a two Portfolio and Technology Management Trainees for our client Nokia Technologies. The position that we are looking to fill is a part to full-time position with the minimum expectation of 40% per week and 12 months fixed-term employment, starting as soon as possible.

Portfolio and Technology Management is a key function in Nokia Technology which is responsible for management of our world-leading patent portfolio. Including functions as Technology Strategy, Investment management, Analytics, and Portfolio management.

As a Portfolio and Technology Management Trainee you will be involved in projects building models and tools in the area of patent portfolio cost optimization and advanced technology management. These tools will enhance further insights and methods to optimize both patent filing strategies and value extraction of existing portfolios. Tasks will cover areas from data-based system designs and solutions up to visualization and monitoring levels. Additionally, the capability to deep dive into specific technologies, to create market and maturity views. It will be important to have a user-centric view, so enable the solutions to be used by many users in the organization.

We are interested in candidates pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Communication and Networking, Computer Science, or other closely related fields. The candidates are expected to have programming, system design, and data-based knowledge, including analytics methods. It is also expected to have a customer-centric approach to be able to develop operational processes and complex systems. The role will focus on creating additional value, thus new business and technology-driven transformation knowledge are prioritized. The capability to take on new tasks, and do quick analyses of various technology fields will be crucial. Strong initiative taking and teamwork is crucial.

About the client
Nokia Technologies is focused on licensing valuable Nokia intellectual property, especially patents, technologies and the Nokia brand. Building on decades of innovation and R&D leadership in technologies used in virtually all mobile devices used today, Nokia Technologies is expanding its patent licensing business, reintroducing the Nokia brand to consumers through brand licensing, and developing and licensing innovative technologies. 


The main responsibilities are
  • build data-driven solutions (systems, analytics, visualization) for managing patent and technology filing and portfolio
  • support technology deep dives to create market and maturity analyses
  • develop operational processes and complex systems
This is what we are looking for
  • Current master’s student in Industrial Engineering and Management, Communication and Networking, Computer Science, or other closely related fields
  • Programming experience and ability to design data visualization dashboards using Python or tools such as PowerBI
  • Familiarity with  generic analytics tools
  • Fluency in both oral and written English
  • Strong initiative, analytical skills, and the ability to develop creative solutions
