We at Clevry are looking for a Legal Research Trainee for our client Nokia Technologies. The position that we are looking to fill is a part to full-time position with the minimum expectation of 40% per week and 12 months’ fixed term employment, starting from April 2023. The trainees may work flexibly up to 100% per week.
In this position you will be a part of a specialist team that focuses on Contract and Royalty Management. In this role will be working in close co-operation with Patent Licensing Team, assist Nokia legal professionals and work with tasks related to contract law. You will do research and collect materials from various sources and make different kinds of presentations for internal and external use. You might also get to take part in negotiations.
We are looking for law students who have previous experience with working contractual matters, a genuine interest in technology and an urge to learn more about the industry. The candidate is expected to have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We expect that the candidate is proficient in MS Office tools and excellent level of English skills. Further, we see that the open-minded, positive, and proactive attitude as well desire to learn is highly appreciated.
About the client
Nokia Technologies is focused on licensing valuable Nokia intellectual property, including patents, technologies and the Nokia brand. Building on decades of innovation and R&D leadership in technologies used in virtually all mobile devices used today, Nokia Technologies is expanding our patent licensing business, reintroducing the Nokia brand to consumers through brand licensing, and developing and licensing innovative technologies.
The main responsibilities are:
- Assisting Nokia professionals with various contractual matters
- Do research and collect materials from various sources
- Prepare presentations for internal and external use
- Close to graduating or, as a minimum, at least halfway through your studies in the required field, current Master’s or advanced Bachelor’s student.
- Strong and positive interpersonal skills and a proactive and diligent approach to accomplishing tasks.
- Fluency in both written and oral English and excellent communication skills.
- Strong initiative, analytical skills and the ability to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and tact.
- Flexible attitude and fast learning skills.
